JSM Properties is a real estate management company with seven community apartment properties around Madison and numerous individual units in the UW Madison campus/downtown area. They needed a better way to show apartment availability to prospective residents, as website users were having to visit each of JSM’s eight websites for its properties to see what was available.
THE WEBSITE
The Hits in a Box Inventory Manager offered a clear solution to JSM’s problem. We created a one-stop apartment shop where users can view available units at all JSM’s properties — as well as the various floor plans for each unit. Users also can sort and search units, so they can easily see options for such things as: number of bedrooms, location, number of bathrooms, price and amenities. They even can compare units to one another with a sortable chart.
Individual unit pages offer an abundance of information including:
- Cost of rent
- Square footage
- Amenities
- Photo gallery
- Community information
- Floor plans
- Ability to schedule showing/apply online
JSM can easily and quickly make changes to unit availability to keep its website users up to date in the competitive Madison-area market.
RESULTS
The year after the launch date saw a 5% increase in new visits and a 4% decrease in the bounce rate. With the ability to efficiently and effectively manage all apartments from one location, JSM’s website management time has decreased. Also, the ease of using Hits in a Box allowed JSM to get its entire property management team involved in providing website updates, blogging, and more.
